Kayaking is my favourite sport which I participate in at a higher level, and use it to travel the world and meet people with similar interests. So far, I have been to Nepal, India, Kazakstan, Kurgystan,Canada, equador and travelled extensively throughout the European Alpes, Spain and New Zealand.

RIVER EXPERIENCE
This is a brief account of my personal kayaking history.

1990
Started kayaking at my local pool learning skills and playing polo for the town of Kendal ,in this time I went out on various local rivers with elders an experienced paddlers.
1996
started working at a outdoor centre in the Lake Distict, where I began gaining British Canoe Union Awards for both coaching and personal kayaking as well as gaining qualifications in other outdoor activities such as mountaineering and climbing and sailing etc. At this time I gained a lot of experience exploring some of the smaller unrun creeks of the English Lake District.
1997
In May of this year was my first trip out to the French Alpes to the Briancon region where we kayaked most of the classic runs of the area Durance gorge the Reallion
1998
In September I took 3 months off work at the outdoor centre and went out to Nepal with a friend an kayaked all the commercially run rivers and some others. It was here I did some safety kayaking work for a company called Exodus. I was safety kayaking on the Sun Kosi, Bhote Kosi and Karnarli. Over this time myself and 4 other uk boaters had been invited in to Kazakstan and Kyrgezstan to check out the rivers for the purposes of them to set up rafting operations. In this 6 week period we ran 11 first descents all of which were class 4 /5 it was a great life time experience and off the back of an article we wrote it now seems to have become a popular destination for lots of people
2001
Headed out to Italy again o for another 2 weeks of great white water
May road tripped around Austria Switzeland again running all the great runs including the upper ,middle and wellerbrucke on the Oetz, the Pitzbach and so on..
2002
Worked back in the uk paddling as and when it rained spent a lot of time taking photos for kayaking companys as photography had become a great interest to me
2003/2004
Went out to New Zealand for six months and spent lots of money on helicopter flights in the time, I was there I did söme work for Rangatata rafts as a safety boater .
2004/2005
Ski guide in the French Alpes
September, went out to Canada for a short break vancouver
2006
Mainly kayakking in te Lake District, UK.
2007
Working in Austria (Tirol) and Slovenia for 5 months, managed to run lots of riviers after work and during not-working-days in Tirol, Italy, switzerland and Slovenia.
2008
Working in Switserland for 6 months, managed to do many trips and rivers after work in Italy & Switserland.
2009
I started the new year with a first descent on the upper reaches of the Pindari river in india.in october i the spent 3 months in equador photoboating, and kayaking for myself

2010

again working for swiss river adventures as a canyon guide raft guide, safety kayaker trip leader on both the inn and vorderhein.in the winter 2010-2011 worked as a lift operator for the flims laax bergbahn graubunden switzerland

2011
just started my fourth year with swiss river adventures ilanz, tessin scoul

REFEREES

For more information do not hesitate to contact me at the above telephone, number
